After 66 days, we have come up short on the necessary signatures needed to get our question on the 2010 ballot. Despite endless days and countless hours, it would seem that our best was not enough.

While we are disappointed in our result, we are optimistic that we were able to collect 47,888 signatures from 7,813 pieces of mail and $5,844 in donations.  Now that we have gone through the process, we remain committed to the cause, and are confident that in 21 months we will be successful.

We want to thank Howie Carr for having the vision that so many were unable to see.  In this first attempt at an online petition drive, we were able to teach people how to collect signatures and to help reverse the curse. This has laid the essential ground work to go after the curse again, and end it for good.

We have said this before and we'll say it again: So long as there are tolls, there will be toll increases. The tolls are not going anywhere, and neither are we.  We have already started organizing for a 2011 signature drive.
